Booking & arrival

How do I book?
Send your dates through the inquiry form and we reply personally, usually within a few hours. Booking direct means no platform service fees and a direct line to your hosts before, during, and after your stay. Wildfield House is also bookable on Airbnb and Vrbo.
What are check-in and check-out times?
Check-in is from 3:00 PM, and flexible if the home is ready earlier. We ask that you are checked out by 11:00 AM so we can turn the home over for the next guests. We send full arrival and access details before your stay.
Is there parking?
Yes, there is free on-site parking on our two-plus private acres. Bring the car you like; there is plenty of room.

The house & amenities

How many people does it sleep?
Up to 8 guests across three bedrooms and two and a half baths.
Is there a pool and a hot tub?
Both. The pool is new for summer 2026 and open seasonally, set against two acres of open lawn. The hot tub runs hot year-round, December included.
Is there fast WiFi and a place to work?
Yes. Fast WiFi runs throughout the house, and there is a dedicated office with dual monitors, because some of the best weeks here are workweeks.
What is there to do indoors on a rainy day?
A finished basement game lounge with arcade machines, plus a chef's kitchen built for slow breakfasts and ambitious dinners. The little ones have an indoor playroom of their own.

Families & kids

Is Wildfield House good for young kids and toddlers?
It was built with families in mind. There is a children's room with a toddler bed, an indoor play den and a downstairs playroom, and an outdoor playground on the lawn. The hot tub sits within sight of the kids' play area, so the grown-ups get to relax too.
What is there to do nearby with kids?
Plenty, from waterfalls and a lighthouse you can walk to, to an animal sanctuary and a family fun center. See our full things to do guide for our local favorites.

Pets

Can I bring my dog?
Yes. We are a dog-friendly home and happily welcome up to two dogs with a pet fee. Just let us know when you book so we can have the home properly set up. Cats, unfortunately, cannot be accommodated under any circumstances due to a severe allergy in the household.

House rules

What is the smoking policy?
This is a family home, so it is non-smoking. Smoking, vaping, and e-cigarettes are permitted only in the designated area near the garage, never indoors, on the patios, or around the hot tub.
Are there quiet hours?
Quiet hours are 10:00 PM to 8:00 AM. Our neighbors are wonderful people and sound carries in the woods, so we ask that you keep things down overnight, especially outside and around the hot tub.
Can I host a party or event?
No parties or events, please. This is our family home rather than an event venue, so we keep it to registered guests only.

Getting here & the area

How far is it from New York City?
About two hours up the Thruway. From the house it is roughly 15 minutes to Woodstock, 10 to Saugerties village, 20 to Kingston, and 35 to Hudson. Hunter and Belleayre skiing are about 45 minutes away.
Where do we pick up groceries?
Smoke House of the Catskills is less than five minutes from the front door and perfect for stocking up. Saugerties village, with a full grocery and a great main street, is about ten minutes out. More of our favorites are in the area guide.
